More than “just” a research centre
The iDiv consortium aims to pool experience and strengthen international networks and cooperation. It is enhanced through the expertise of the more than 100 active iDiv members, who work on specific aspects of research in various locations and institutions, and also through collaboration with several non-university institutions.

Governance
Speaker Board and iDiv Speakers
Daily business is run by the iDiv Speakers. The Speaker Board implements the decisions of the Science Strategy Board and manages operations at iDiv. The Speaker and the three Co-Speakers of the Speaker Board are suggested by the Science Strategy Board and appointed or dismissed by the Board of Trustees. The Speaker reports to the Board of Trustees, the Science Strategy Board, the Speaker Board and to funding institutions. For details see section 10 in the bylaws of iDiv.

Consortium
iDiv has a unique structure. Its consortium consists of three universities and eight non-university institutions. The amalgamation of all facilities and partners in the science consortium aims to pool experience and strengthen international networks and cooperation.
Administration
The administration enables an efficient workflow that facilitates high-performance research within iDiv across all locations.
It is responsible for reception, purchasing, human resources, third-party funding, travel expense reimbursement and the Welcome Centre.
